Shama Shama Production — Magician & Illusionist in Nairobi, Kenya | Book a Magician

Shama Shama Production · Nairobi, Kenya

Magic, in the land where it lives.

Illusion. Mentalism. Hypnosis. A house born in Nairobi, reaching across Africa.

I · The Name

Begin with a name.

Shama Shama — a name said twice, the way a story is told twice: first to hear it, then to believe it. It means light in the old sense — not brightness, but attention.

The audience is not fooled. The audience is invited.

The land stays inside the work. Not printed on the fabric — sewn into the cut. You will not be shown Africa; you will hear it in the patience of the pacing, in how long a silence is allowed to stand before the turn.

The work resists the word amazing. It asks instead for silence, then a slow exhale.

III · The Ensemble

Three disciplines. One evening.

Close-up among the cocktails. A parlour set when the plates are cleared. Hypnosis to finish, the audience now the cast. One bill, sequenced like a score.

IV · The Rates

Clear pricing, by the block.

Every rate is for the stated block, in Kenya Shillings. A 50% deposit secures the date; the balance is due on or before the day.

“A genuinely world-class show. The hypnosis finale had the whole room on its feet — I have never seen a Nairobi audience so quiet, then so loud.”

“Excellent show and a lovely team. Load-in was slightly tight but once the lights went down it was flawless.”

Frequently asked

Quiet answers to the obvious questions.

How far in advance should I book?+

Two to four weeks is comfortable. December, weekends and public holidays fill first. For weddings and large galas, eight weeks is safer.

Do you travel outside Nairobi?+

Yes — across Kenya, East Africa and internationally. Travel and accommodation outside core Nairobi are quoted as part of the booking.

What do you need from the venue?+

A clear performance area, access to power, and — for stage shows — a sound system and lighting rig. For parlour sets, we bring our own audio. A short tech sheet is sent on confirmation.

Is the hypnosis safe?+

Stage hypnosis is a performance, not a therapy. Volunteers are self-selecting, the set is contained, and no one is asked to do anything that could harm them or embarrass them beyond the spirit of the show.

How do I secure a date?+

A 50% deposit secures the date. The balance is due on or before the day. M-Pesa, bank transfer and cash are all accepted.
