One park.
Every culture.
One day.
Umoja in the Park brings Frankfurt’s African, Asian, and international communities together for a weekend of music, food, markets, and family — under the open sky.
Not one community hosting the rest — everyone hosting each other.
Frankfurt is home to some of Germany’s largest and most active diaspora communities — West African, East African, Korean, and many more — but there’s never been one shared, citywide day that brings them together in the open air.
Umoja — Swahili for „unity“ — is our answer to that. Inspired by long-running park festivals in other diaspora capitals, Umoja in the Park is built from the ground up as a Frankfurt original: multiple cultures on one stage, one market, one afternoon.
Five zones, one park.
Main Stage
Live bands, DJs, and performances spanning highlife, amapiano, K-pop, Afrobeat, and local Frankfurt acts.
Food Village
Vendors from across the African, Asian, and Caribbean diaspora — jollof to bibimbap to injera, side by side.
Market
Fashion, art, hair and beauty, and craft stalls run by Frankfurt’s migrant-owned small businesses.
Community Hub
Associations, mutual-aid groups, and local organizations connecting with the people they serve.
Kids Corner
Games, face painting, and storytelling — built for families to stay the whole day.
Entry is free. Reserving a spot helps us plan the day.
Be first in line
Ticketing for Umoja in the Park 2027 will open on Eventbrite closer to the date. Leave your email and we’ll send you the link the moment registration goes live — no charge, just a faster way in on the day.
